Wordnetweb.princeton.edu says that ethics is the philosophical study of moral values and rules.
In the classroom I will do whatever I can to instill ethics in the classroom. I think it is important to be a good example of character as a teacher for one's students.
I think a pro is if the students see the teacher act the way they morally should, the student will do the same. It is the monkey see monkey do concept.
I do not see any cons personally.
Your walk will speak louder than your talk... and will lead to appropriate occasions when you can talk with your students and colleagues about important issues.
